Wilpattu National Park
Bordered by Mannar, Anuradhapura and Puttalam, Wilpattu National Park is located in the west coastal area extended in 131, 693 hectares in size. It was declared a National Park in 1938 as it shelters a verity of native species, such as jackals, elephants, sloth bears, leopards, spotted deer, wild buffalos, mongooses and owns a number of natural lakes also known as ‘Villus’ that contain pure rainwater.
